During this pivotal time in our history, we aspire to be leaders in health and well-being, and as we look toward the future we wonder, what more can we do? 

The complementary collections within the Museum and Library work together seamlessly to tell stories of the past, present, and future of medicine. They spark necessary and intimate conversations around health and teach historical lessons that counter medical misinformation and encourage informed decisions that impact the well-being of our communities.

As caretakers of one of the most significant collections of medical history and knowledge in the United States we feel an immense responsibility to its care. We are in the midst of the most significant renovations to our collections storage that will ensure the safety of our materials, and we have many exciting projects to broaden our impact just on the horizon.  

The historical lessons and stories told in the , , and are integral parts of dispelling medical misinformation and building trust. Our is directly working to increase diversity within the medical community, and we are proud to provide hands-on learning and mentorship.

Spending time researching and photographing the collection has shifted my view of many of the objects and specimens we're entrusted with. There's a beauty of form and design at play even in simple, practical tools, and we're constantly uncovering deeper stories about their owners, users, and creators.
